Qualified to fly as regular Company pilot, maintained parts inventories and technical bulletins, as well as keeping current with trade developments. The writing and implementations of standard operating procedures, filing of defective material reports, and flight records.

Worked closely with F.A.A, C.A.B. and congressional committees in the preparation of application for certificate of necessity with subsidy for helicopter service in the Baltimore-Washington area.

June 1956 to May 1957

Bell Aircraft Corporation (Helicopter Division), Fort Worth Texas. Export Sales Administrator. Compensation $9,500, plus expenses.

Handled all foreign helicopter and component sales, both military and commercial, through overseas dealers and representatives. Established export policy and directed and coordinated with sales companies in procuring foreign orders. Upon receipt of orders, prepared contracts, arranged financing, and assumed complete responsibility for meeting delivery commitments. Escorted all visiting VIP customers and licensees, and flew as demonstration pilot when required.

Visited foreign sales companies, and in 1956, participated in the Trade Fair at Damascus, Syria with a Model 47g-2 helicopter augmenting the U.S. exhibit. Worked closely with various Syrian ministries, the U.S. Embassy, and Fair officials. Flew approximately 700 passengers during month of Fair as guests of the U.S. Embassy. Prior to and after Fair, conducted flight demonstrations for the heads of State, Ministers, Chiefs of Staff, etc. in Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan.

Sales trips also made to Egypt, Greece, Italy, France and Belgium, visiting dealers and customers. Familiar with sales and commercial aircraft operational problems overseas.

January 1954 to April 1956

Keystone Helicopter Corporation, Land Title Building, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Operations Manager. Compensation $9,000, plus expenses.

Company recently formed to provide domestic and foreign contract helicopter service, and joined after release from U.S.M.C., as desired to continue in expanding helicopter operating field. Established operational procedures, maintenance schedules, inventory levels, etc., and performed all flight and routine maintenance duties. Worked closely with CAA and State aviation officials. Had additional duties in sales, market research and customer relations.
