in conference assembled...

Located at the street level in World Science Center's auditorium building will be the largest of several auditoria. This auditorium will comfortably seat the scientists and will offer them the use of the most modern audio-visual equipment.
With these new facilities there will be no language barriers: simultaneous translation into the major languages will enable the scientists of the world to exchange information freely.
At larger conferences seven small auditoria could be joined to the large auditorium by means of closed-circuit television. By these means as many as 6500 people could attend a single conference or symposium.
Also available for use during conferences would be spacious quarters for all communications media, with full access to telephone, telegraph, radio and television channels. Indeed, a radio-television broadcasting studio is also envisaged as a part of World Science Center.
With this variety of equipment located in functionally designed quarters, the Academy will be able to increase the number of conferences it sponsors and will be able to expand the amount of subject matter covered. Already the Academy's interdisciplinary conferences have won wide-spread fame. They have attracted scientists from many nations to the Academy. Expansion of the Academy's program will result in an even more vigorous dissemination of scientific information.
