Dear Dorris

We are still having cool days though to day is a little milder & not quite as sunny. it seems good to have the oil heat to turn on so the bath room is warm in the morning to go into. we make up a little fire in the middle room, late in the day. & then towards morning the heat goes on to warm up the house for the rest of the day.

Irene Swanson & her little son Roger came to see us last night, they stayed 'till long after my bed time & didnt it seem good when I could go off to bed. I get awful tired & the days seem long 8 O'clock dont come any too soon for me. I dont notice my cold any at all. only my voice is a little husky + nose runs just a bit mornings. no cough.

Irene says Norma Layney is hanging around Frank Reynolds more than ever & he makes her beautiful presents costly dresses & seems more devoted than ever since his mother died. she is poison to any man. she ought to feel thankful to her husband for marrying her after she got into trouble. no body knows who the father was of the first child. that Carutie was intimate with her at the time & the wife was after them trying to stop them from meeting together so to support his family & not spend so much on her as he was doing.
