of money. so does Blanche Hammond but she cant bring it to this country, she came from Nova Scocia. she says over there at the hospital where she nurses, Maude is an awful lazy patient & has a temper if she is crossed. rather than go to the toilet she does every thing where she lays & then they have to clean her & the bed. its terrible to take care of her & her money is going fast. She will soon be on the town. there is no need of Blanches working for a living she sold her house & got a good price for it. but prefers work to take up her mind. The family over to the next house their name is Poppillus. so far they are very nice. they have just got another big swill pail & are in hopes the man will come to collect soon. he dont come here only once a fortnight we saw him down the street this morning but he didnt come up on the hill. just now a boy with a truck has just come taken their swill. I dont know who it was not Getchel, I am glad they got rid of theirs at last. The fog has cleared away now & it may start to be pleasant. she may have a pleasant day after all to meet her friends in town, she was feeling bad to think it stormed.
I must go down stairs now & see to my fire & get my beans on to warm up as its time for dinner & clearing off at last surely.
Your letter has just arrived. glad you have a good time riding off with friends & seeing places. love Ma
