Dear Doris.

This is a very warm suny day. every one enjoyes after the cold rainy & windy days we have had through the week. just a week ago today we went down to the Reynoldses they gave us a jar of their home raised grape jellie but forgot to give it when we returned home. they brought it though this morning on their way to church. we know its very nice for they had some for supper that
night we stayed there.

A man from voting ballot was here yesterday to take my absentee vote for President. I gave him my republican vote so that is over & if its a nice pleasant day guess Dewey will get it, let us hope so at best. Truman has been in long enough & we need a change.

Turner set out the trees last Friday. he did a good job & set out the Granenstein tree where the old one the rabbit knawed was. he said there was some life in it, so he brought it over here & set it out on the land where my tomatoes were. it may live being damp days. I gave him his two dollars he asked for doing his job so thats all right. I have got plenty of money Hazel was over this morning early & paid her rent.
