Dear Doris Received your card this morning glad you got home & found everything all right. We have had sunny weather ever since you were here no rain things dried up for want of moisture, fires all around, need rain badly. The boy comes to paint occasionally haven't seen him today. He dont ammount to much gets here late, & leaves early at night. seems good natured though. Mrs Bassy got here around six Labor day, her suitcase came yesterday. Temperature was 60° early this morning we made up the fire in the kitchen stove this morning for the first time since you were here. love Ma.
