Stoughton Dec 5th 1948

Dear Doris. We are having nice sunshiney days around 40° our snow storm didn't ammount to very much, it disappeared in a day. I am quite busy these days stitching on the cloth you sent up a little while ago. It was so pleasant that I took advantage of the day to do my weekly wash. Doris said that she might come up a little while during her xmas vacation but she would spend her time mostly down home. I judged it would be just a flying visit here, like she did Thanksgiving. I am not doing anything for xmas, just making up your cloth. so long
love Ma
