Dear Doris

A very sunny day temperature around 50° we are having very sudden changes in our weather. Friday it went up to 90° & then change in the night time & the next day we needed a fire to keep warm.

Rains have made grass & leaves grow the Colder boy mowed our lawn being a cooler day he did a good job of it. raked away my leaves, so now it looks a little better around the house.

Mrs Barry is going to church today the minister Mr Killpatrick called on us a week ago tonight he brought us a lovely boquet [[bouquet]] of red tulips & white snap dragons its lasted a whole week. they want to get rid of Reynolds, they would put Cathleen their daughter in in his place, to play the organ, in time they will. she is an excellent musician. no one knows music any better better than he does. what he lacks is power to direct, it isn't in his make up too (mambie pamby).

The Goward family are just going off to their Catholic meeting. this seems to be a catholic neighborhood. the Trinity church is the next door to it. Father Gun is an excellent man, his folks were Episcopalians so you see they must be near neighbors. They had Mr. Marshal atend Sues funeral when she passed away. & she was a pure Methodist.
