There is not much of our snow left on the ground its mostly bare. there were only a few inches that came, it was very light & easy to sweep a path. Our little dog comes over every day & kisses us. we give him our bones & all the fat & gristle we can.

I am sitting upstairs in the front chamber writing my letter in the sun where its very warm. we are going to have meat stew for our dinner, where its on cooking & I must go down to see that the water doesn't boil out.

She has just gone over to the Hospital to see Cora Brock the new Doctor is treating her guess there is but little hope for her. the woman who was in the same room with her died in the night. the patients none of them knew anything about it they told them she had been moved down stairs which of course was the truth. Maude was very glad to see her & Cora was also. you could hear her breathe all over the room. she may pass on in her sleep well this is all hope you are warm. love Ma
