Dear Bobbie,
How's tricks? Are the folks still talking about crossing the pond? I understand you ar'nt crazy about Camp Ellis. I was very glad they moved you out of the Carolinas, but if this is worst I do'nt know what to think now.
I went to your house Sat. evening, Bessie and I had quit a talk. I stayed for a long time. Bessie has gone to New York now. I'll let you know what kind of time she had.

The entire family went to the Eastern Shore Maryland Sunday to see a great aunt of mine and I might add had quit a time. First of all it was hot as blazes, plus having to get up 4:00 A.M. which nearly killed me. It took me all day to get myself together. Diddy drove Pappa's car, with Ida and her family, and papa too. She swears she'll never drive his car with him in it again. You can imagine how he was. Louise drove her car with Jessie and Agnes & Mike. Daddy had Thelma, myself,Muvver and Mother Reggie.A Bee went up Thelma's dress so we had to stop and let her get it out. Sug and the rest came from Baltimore. After getting to my Aunt's house, we had quit a time. The kids, Ibbie, Agnes, Thelma and myself went wadding in the Bay which was right at the back door. Picnic lunches were carried by all plus there was crabs and watermelon for all. Charles ripped his white linen suit off hisback know body knows just how he did it.
