Arrived at Whaling Station on inner Akutan Harbor Bay near its head on S. Side.

He gave me the following information on this year's catch to date. A yg Sperm whale 55 ft long was being cut up on the dock when we arrived + a second one 59 ft long was hauled up & was being cut up when we left.

27 Blue Whale (Sulphur Bottom)
95 Finback } most numerous
36 Humpback} most numerous

Numbers in list are those taken season 1920 from May 4 to July 19

Scaplin says that the sperm is least valued now as its oil is too cheap. They commonly find squid or their beaks in stomachs & intestines of sperm and on one occasion fragments of a large shark.
Glaucous wg gulls some 75 or 100 were about & a few ravens
