In April 1925 in Terre Bonne Arthur saw about 50-100 golden plover. Spr. 1927 more seen than since about 1915.

Only barn swallow Arthur has seen nesting in a barn on 3 successive years 1916-17-18 Cameron farm, Cameron Parish These only ones known in south part of state. They are
known from northern part of state.

Winter food rats 3 cornered rush 1st favorite & main winter food

Cattails 2d-fav. main summer food.

Wiregrass 3d - Eaten & used as [[?]] shelter

4th bulrush coarse & eaten as a necessity 

Cut-flag (Cutgrass) eaten some by rats. When burned over the cutflag comes back slower than 3 cor. msh.

The two species of [[?]] rushes are the favorite winter food of muskrats as of geese. In Summer when the rushes have become tougher the rats use more cattails though eating various other plants.
