WORK CLOTHES FOR WOMEN EMPLOYEES

The following regulations regarding the wearing of work clothes will be rigidly enforced. Employees who fail to abide by these regulations will be subject to discipline.

No changing of clothes is allowed on the premises.

1. A regulation Safety Cap must be worn by women employees operating, either full or part time, any of the following machines: 

Drill Presses    
Milling Machines    
Lathes    
Sanders    
Buffers    
Mechanical Presses    
Profilers
Band Saws
Table Saws
Circular Saws
Grinders
Shears, etc.

Other women employees: No hair covering unless employee prefers to wear one of her own choosing. (Except welders who will abide by requirements of that department.)

2. MATERIALS: Jackets and Slacks
(a) Wool - such as serge, flannel, gabardine
(b) Cotton - such as corduroy, heavy suiting, denim, cotton twill
(c) No silk, rayon or jersey

3. SLACKS: 
(a) Limited to 10" width
(b) Ankle length - no cuffs

4. JACKET SLEEVES:
Must be so made that they will easily roll up out of the way.

5. BLOUSES:
(a) Wool, such as flannel, gabardine, serge, or cotton such as cotton shirting, broadcloth, may be worn without a jacket.
(b) No shear cotton materials such as voile or organdy.
(c) Sweaters may be worn when employee is not employed on moving machinery or other jobs requiring safety clothing.

6. Vests of heavy cotton, wool or suede are permitted.

7. High-heeled, open-toed, or open-heeled shoes must not be worn. Low-heeled, laced oxfords give give the best foot protection.

8. Long coats and smocks are not considered safe and will not be permitted.

9. Company uniforms of Corsair Cotton twill, in dark brown aqua, are available.

10. Company coveralls are also available and these must be worn over slacks.
