Dear Mrs. Brunton:

Your telephone call last evening reminded my that I still had to get your material off to the National Air and Space Museum. I am sure that they will enjoy looking at it. In my letter I advised them of the fact that you you were interested in obtaining duplicate prints of any they might choose to include the Museum's biographical files. If they decide to do this, you should be aware of the fact that there would be charge to cover the processing and handling.
In the future, I suggest that you direct correspondence to the Museum. In this instance, it was appropriate to send material to me. Your quick response was appreciated. Unfortunately, I must report at this time, that it appears to be an impossibility to include any new material in the text. The book is too far along in the publishing process to make this financially feasible. I know that this will come as a disappointment to you; I too am sorry that things did not work in our favor. However, you should be comforted by the fact that this will not be the last word on women in aviation. There are many books and articles yet to be written and by consenting to have the Museum make copies of your personal records and articles you have taken an important step towards assuring your contributions will not go unidentified.
Speaking of the Museum, I want to reiterate that I am not an employee of the National Air and Space Museum. This is why I have recommended that you correspond with them instead of using me a s "middle-man." I would also recommend that you consider donating your entire collection to a local historical society or the Ninety-Nines. Given your important position with the Ninety-Nines, it seems that their Museum might be the best location for your files. In the meantime, why not submit your articles to their newsletter?
Thank you for your interest. The best part of writing this book has been the enthusiastic response from so many participants.
Sincerely yours,
Deborah G. Douglas
