ABC aviation history cont'd

Airplanes flown at Wright Field cont'd: (as first pilot)
all fighters--P-40, P-47, P-51, P-38 etc
bombers--B-25, B-26, B-17, B-24, B-29
transport--C-47, C-45
all trainers and liaison craft plus converted civilian craft and captured and allied foreign equipment

After the WASPs there followed a long period of housewife duties, children, scouts, PTA etc....

Then a short ride in a Cessna down in Florida fanned the spark to a real flame again, and:

Instructor rating in 1957, instrument rating 1959, instrument instructor rating 1959.
Instructor at ZAHNS Airport on Long Island, instructing any one and every one including United Airlines personnel, men, women, children, specializing in instrument instruction.
Equipment used: cub, PA-22, Comanche, Apache.

But at the present time, am using all this flying knowledge for the most part in navigating ocean racing sailboats..

However, my ambition is to complete Amelia Earhart's flight around the world---take her same route, but continue beyond Howland Island. Know any one who wants an airplane exercised a little??
