New York Airways -- This is ALPA S&S Division's first agreement with NYA. Base pay ranges from $325.00 for the first six months to $415.00 for the fifth year. Vacation was provided at 14 calendar days for one year of service, sick leave at one day for each month of service after six months on the payroll. The contract also provides for full pay for training, Agency Shop and dues check-off, and full pay for time spent negotiating contracts and grievances. Actual meal expenses are allowed under the agreement and on-duty is 130 hours or 85 rotor-hours, whichever occurs first.

Aloha Airlines -- Base pay ranges from $265 effective 3/1/64 and $270 effective 3/1/65 for the first six months to $400 and $405 on the respective effective dates for the eighth ear. Under the new pay scale, earnings for 85 hours on DC-3 and F-27 aircraft would be $467.50 effective 3/1/64 and $427.50 effective 3/1/65 for the eighth year. Old scale for similar work as $450. The agreement also provides changes in meal allowance, on-duty, sick leave and working conditions.

SUZY SAYS....As each day grows progressively more pleasant, there is a strong tendency for everyone to have spring fever. Although spring day dreaming is fine for the passengers, Flight Attendants should remember that their jobs require the maximum of alertness at all times. Confine your spring fever to those off-duty hours.
