APPENDIX III

Crotch Zipper in Intermediate Flying Suit.

1. Impractical for use because of soilage of clothing.

2. All clothes underneath would also require this zipper.

Recommendations in view of female relief tube now being designed (Relief tube is small bowl-shaped funnel that will fit in the palm of the hand and will thus be placed in position for use).

1. Suggest a neat and compact flap-pocket in right leg of pants-- from crotch to about 6" below crotch--for efficient use with relief tube.

2. Under-slacks will need flap-pocket also--with zipper for neatness.

3. On ground--exit zipper arrangement makes no other arrangement necessary.
