Major Referring to your telegram of the 18th inst. in reference to a fatal difficulty between H.S. Claus an agent of the Bureau and another individual, which telegram was answered on date of its reception directing that Claus be held from the Civil Authorities until further Orders. The Asst. Comm. directs that Mr. Claus be turned over to the Civil Authorities provided they make requisition for him. The action taken by the authorities must be noted and if it appears that an injustice is intended towards Mr. Claus, the Military Authorities will then interfere. Very Respectfully Your Obt.
