Sir:

By virtue of Circular No 26 dated State of Alabama. Bureau R.F. &c. Montgomery Ala May 1, 1868, you are assigned to duty as Sub Assistant Commissioner for the Sub District of Tuscumbia comprising the Counties of Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Marion, and Jones.

You are hereby empowered to exercise and perform within the limits of your Sub District, all the powers and duties of the Asst Commissioner except such as by Regulations and orders devolve upon that officer alone.

I have the honor to request the revocation of appointment of W.W. Hammill, Clerk, Bureau R.F. and A.L. to date April 30, 1868, and to apply for the appointment of Mr Henry R. Walter as Clerk in the Bureau to take effect May 1, 1868, at a salary of One Hundred Dollars per month.
