Respectfully returned tot he Commr of Ala. It is not understood why these papers was sent directly to the Treasury Dept. If the claim is just and valid one against the Bureau it should have been paid by the Disbursing office; or if he did not feel authorized to do so on account of the decease of the original claimant it should have been properly made up and forwarded to this office. The claim appears to be just and legal. If the Asst Commr concurs in this he is requested to have duplicate vouchers prepared and to send them together with the certificate of administration to the Commr and authority will be obtained to settle the account with the Executrix.
