Kinsman SAC Bureau &c Hd Qrs Dist. of Ala. with the statement that Gordon is the changed name of the town recently known as Woodville, and is situated in Henry County, on the Chattahoochee river fifteen miles from the Florida line. This man Perry lives five miles below Gordon. 
Complaints are frequently received at the Office of the general maltreatment of the freedpeople in that distant portion of your District; and that Pace, a Justice of the Peace, assumes to be an agent of the Bureau, which he administers exclusively in the interests of his people. Gruen White the applicant, is now living at Greenwood this county.
