Respectfully forwarded to Maj Gen Shorkley A.A.A.G. Dist of Ala when the detachment under Command of Lieut Winslow arrived here the weather was very cold and at the request of Lieut Winslow I purchased wood for the detachment. At the end of the month Lieut Winslow certified to the account which I forwarded to the Q. M. at Selma. In rendering my act I was governed by the amt of money expended by myself and would regret to meet with any loss through the negligence of any one.
If consistent I would respectfully request that you refer the matter to the authorities who will authorize to meet out justice.

Sub Asst Commr Mobile Ala who will determine upon affidavit the question of co partnership of Bassit and his debt to r Moore who will be summoned to to exonerate himself. If statement be found true that the freedman English is maliciously presented further suits for such object will be directed to cease and if not obeyed Mr Moore will be arrested for violation of G. O. No. 6 C.S. from 3rd Mil Dist which prohibits sale or disposal in any way of property attached and charges will be preferred accordingly for trial by Mil Commission
