I have the honor respectfully, to ask that I be given a possession of a two story Brick Store House situated on Franklin Street in the City of Huntsville. I being the legal and proper owner. Said building was seized as abandoned property by order of [[strikethrough]] Genl. C B Flak [[/strikethrough]] U. S. Treasury Agent on the 24th day of February 1865. When in fact it never was abandoned. The building was occupied by my tenant E Dentlen from January 1860. up to the time of the Evacuation of the City by Genl Granger in the Month of December 1864. he then left the town with the Federal forces, and returned with them in the same Month, and again took possession of the House. was ordered out in the
