Bureau Refugees Freedmen and Abandoned Lands
Selma, Dec 7th 1865

Colonel: I have the honor to request a standing order that will enable me to procure transportation [[strikethrough]] on [[/strikethrough]] for those sent into this state by Asst. Commissioners of other States. They have no where to stay, while I send to you for their orders, and the detention is a great hardship.
I would respectfully apply for transportation for Mr. A.J. Youngblood and wife, who come fully under the rules, also for two families of negroes, sick, and unable to support themselves but with friends at home who will help them.
(A. J. Youngblood and wife from Selma to New Orleans, En route for Houston Texas. John Richards [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] wife and four children from Selma to Meridian, en route for Vicksburg.
