EXECUTIVE ORDER.

EXECUTIVE OFFICE, 
September 7, 1865

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, That so much of the Executive Order bearing date the 7th of the day of June, 1865, as made it the duty of all officers of the Treasury Department, military officers, and all others in the service of the United States, to turn over to the authorized officers of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands, all funds collected by tax or otherwise, for the benefit of the refugees or freedmen, or accruing from abandoned lands of property set apart for their use, be, and the same is hereby, suspended.

   The foregoing Executive order is promulgated for the information and guidance of Offices of the Treasury Department, who are hereby instructed to shape their action accordingly, and to turn over no more Funds of the characters specified until otherwise directed.
