The undersigned, a citizen of the County of Montgomery and State of Alabama, having recently been pardoned by the President of the United States for all past offenses which I may have committed against the United States during the late rebellion, and having complied with all the requirements of said pardon such as taking the Oath of Amnesty, given notice to the Honorable W. H. Seward of my acceptance of the pardon with all the conditions thereto and having paid all costs that had accrued against my person or property. Do by these presents respectfully ask that you will restore or cause to be restored to me all the property which you, as the head of the Freedmens Bureau at Montgomery Alabama, have in your possession, belonging to me - Viz - my plantation lying and being situated in the county of Montgomery on the upper Wetumpka Road Seven miles from the city of Montgomery.  One Sett of Blacksmith Tools, One Bay Horse Mule ten years old. One Feather Bed. One Mattress. One pair of cotton sheets, one pair of Blankets, two Feather Bed Pillows, all of which was taken possession of by the Freedmans Bureau on the second day of June last.  I Respectfully submit the above applications for your early consideration and hope you will have all of the said property
