State of Alabama Joseph C Bradley being only survivor
Madison County ss on oath says that

Previous to the occupation of Huntsville Ala by the Federal or United States Troops in 1862, after various consultations with Mrs Jane Weeden, I advised her to go with herself & two Daughters to her plantation in Marshall County Ala to look after & care for her property. (Plantations slaves stock, &&) and put her House lot & furniture into the possession of Doctr Samuel Breck a gentleman who I knew to be a union or loyal man to the United States Government.

Mrs Jane Weeden accepted of my advice, she believing me to be a union man and did employ at my suggestion Doctr Samuel Breck of Huntsville Ala to take & live in her House inn Huntsville Ala & to live or reside in said House to use her household & kitchen furniture

Mrs Jane Weeden did not contemplate or intend in any manner
