My dear Sir you will find enclosed herewith, a letter to your address which was written the 22d, which will show how things were then. I started it to you by a prayrman who returned it yesterday, as he did not get to Montgomery. I think it best to enclose it, as it will give you some idea of difficulties. But I have the satisfaction now to state, that I have secured the lot I spoke of, or rather the amount to pay for it is pledged, and the contract will be consumated tomorrow  We propose to open the school just as soon as a temporary building can be put up. Genral, you can take what action you choose in regard to a permanant superintendant. Great responsibilities will rest on him. I am happy to state that I have entirely harmonized the public mind; on the location. And several citizens have asked me to receive the appointment if offered. And I say this, if you cannot do better, I will act. But if you can, dont hesitate to do it. The school will be large. And it is best for you to control its alerting
