Dear Doris

We are having a snow storm. it started during the night. the ground was bare when I went off to bed, this may turn to rain. we ordered a ton of coal also one tank filled up with oil, thinking now that the ground was bare, it was a good time to bring it & we would pay him by check you sent us this last week. but he first it off till Tuesday, now he may com after this storm is over. she would not be able to go down to cash the check & he was willing to do so we said. Hazel we expect will come today & pay her rent. I made a dress for myself out of that pretty piece of percale you sent me have worn the dress ever since it was made. I think it a very piece of goods & it goes well with that blue commona [[kimono]] I was glad of the dress you sent also its a little large in size but better be large than too small its mice & warm. I was glad to hear what that green rubber cushion was meant for, it seems nice & easy for the front chamber chair. You spent too much money on me giving me so many presents. those pillow cases & nightie, apron say nothing of the sweets. Doris hankies arrived yesterday
