In the case of Mr Maura clerk it seems that he has heretofore borne an unblemished character but the ugly thing about his participation was the fact that he assisted the other clerk, Wagner to escape. Knowing that I had evidence which would send them both for trial.

I keep digging away in this most diabolical sink hole of corruption. I think I have got the "dead wood" on all the principal participators and actors in these nefarious transactions.

I have telegraphed to Major Wilkens at Mobile to have Mr Wagner arrested having undoubtable evidence that he went down the line last night to get on the train at a wood station.

Mr McGogy with two men was on the train and would arrest him if he saw him, but I think he would get in the caboose as the Express Messenger received
