Mobile Mar 5. 1866. Col. C. Cadle Jr. Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge yours of 1st inst. Altho I feel that great wrong has been done me by the late proceeding of the F. Bureau - I do not wish to do wrong to others. When I called on Genl. Woods to interfere in this matter - 'tho he had done so some weeks ago, he declined & furnished me a copy of an Order from the Sec. War justifying his doing so. This order is dated Nov. 11/65. You now speak of a "letter of instruction written to an agent of this Bureau on the 28th Dec. 1865"- of which I knew nothing. I presume this document is official - will you have the kindness to furnish me a copy? Very Respectfully, John Bragg.
