In the mean time Mr Rogers' contracts had been approved at this Office. Both contract were just, and both employers were agreable to her. After the woman was turned over to Mr Rogers, Mr Hughes came to our office and commands an order of institution because Amy had made a written contract with him previous to the one with Mr Rogers. The point is this, and we respectfully ask your decision.
Does the contract made verbally, and afterwards ratified in writing by Tol for his entire family including Amy 23 years of age, to which Amy tacitly consents by working there 3 or 4 weeks; take precedence of a written contract signed with a seal and approved and made voluntarily upon her part, 3 or 4 weeks after the contract made for her by Tol.
