The within was in answer to a letter which I written to Capt Whisel urging him to ensure that your attention was called to the case Mrs Dunboses horse in which I said to him if it was necessary dispach to you at my expense which he did not but intimates to me in this that the papers was before your honour

Respectfully refered to Gen Wood at Mobile Ala and ask that you send to me or to the Mrs L. A. Dubose the lady for whom I act an order on Mr Stephens or Capt Whetsel for the horse in contrversy or that that he requested to pay the value of the horse with damage She prefers the horse
