Office Act. Sub. Asst. Comr.
Bureau of R.F. and A.L.
Columbus Ga. June 16. 1866

O.D. Kinnuay
A.A. Gen'l. Bureau of R.F. and A.L.
State of Ala.

Sir:
I have the honor to enclose herewith an Affidavit of a colored minister from Auburn, Ala who had to leave his home and lives now here in Columbus. He was brutally treated by some white rowdies, his body gave sufficient proof of the truth of his statement. I also beg leave to forward an application for transportation from here to Montgomery Ala. made to me by an old and crippled freedman from the latter place. He met with an accident several weeks ago, soon after coming here, and has been supplied with Government rations since.
Very Respectfully
Your ob't. serv't.
