This town is so isolated from the liberal and enterprizing portion of the county, that prominent business men stoop to incite the Rabble to deeds of the character of the Berry case. And when such men attempt to take the law in their own hands, we cannot Expect better conduct on the part of the Low Whites.

The colored people of this vicinity are thus far, a willing, submissive & peaceable portion of the community.
