We here certify that we were the Counsel of Davy Cutler a freedman in the trial referred to in the statement hereto attached of Majr Pierce to Genl Swayne, and that the matters and things therein stated, are strictly correct as therein set forth — that said Cutler is a man of good character and is in indigent circumstances.
