General

A few days since Mr. Geo. G. Lyon returned from Montgomery and informed me that you had requested him to instruct me not to use the buildings on the academy lot for the purpose of erecting a colored school house here, if there were other buildings here that would answer for that purpose. IF such is your desire will you have the kindness to give me official instructions to that effect, as I already have instructions in writing from Col. Cadle to use the building and the academy lot in erecting the school house.
