Dear Sir
The 1st of Feb I applied to Col Robinson Supt B R F & A L for Mobile District for rations for the indigent of this county. I afterwards wrote him two other letters on the same subject also telegraphed him rec'd no answer. Thinking that would relieve me of the trouble I wrote to you on the subject. Answer duly rec'd stating that I had not been relieved of that duty. I also had interview with you and made known conditions of the indigent in this county. You gave me six hundred rations to supply amediate wants. I wrote to Col Robinson two letters since and telegraphed him on 2nd just to not "What is the trouble about rations for this Post been out month answer" Rec'd today answer as follows "General E Shander instructions to Judge of Probate not complied with will send some rations monday on account come down or send down some one soon" Which is all that I have heard from him in answer to four letters & two telegrams. and I infer that I must either send someone down or go myself before I will rec answer. It cost me about twenty four dollars to go or send & there is no provisions made for or funds at this office.
I have not heard anything as yet from Gov Patter in regard to my getting one of the house at
