From a neighbor of mine (Mr Fairriss) I learn that I have been led into an error, and done that which, I had no authority to do in approving of a fine Labor Contracts.
Acting under Gen Orders No 12, from March 1, I thought I had the authority to approve contracts.
He (Farris) tells me, that my estates are no longer agents of the Bureau.
