In the matter of Apprenticing to Julian D Bond - Jesse a freed boy of color, the son of Jas Hall -- I have the honor to make the following report. The said J D Bond reported to me (as set forth in his Indentures) that said boy Jesse, was about nine years of age -- and that his Parents were unable to provide for his support, and that Jesse a freed boy, as aforesaid, was unable to support himself - and was willing to be so Apprenticed unto the said Julian D Bond. And supposing the statements of said Bond, to be true, I Apprenticed Jesse to him, under Sec 1215 of the Code of Ala.

I have not seen Mr Bond since & know nothing more about the facts, in said Cause. I have no doubt, that wrong statements have been made to me in relation to matters of this kind.

Very respectfully
