Office Asst Supt. R. F. & A. L.
Greenville Ala. March 20th 1866.

Colonel C. Cadle jr.
A.A. General

Colonel,

I have the honor to transmit to you the usual Tri Monthly Reports and also enclose a correspondence which I was ordered to investigate.

I have the honor to state, that from the most reliable information I could obtain in the above case, I have every reason to beliefe, that the complainant was intirely in the wrong. I have been told by several parties that Mr. Bransty was at the time of the occurrence grossly intoxicated, and that after receiving the Rations, he was publicly using disloyal and very improper language. I am fully satisfyed, that Mr. Bransty only received such punishment, as was due to him and I would also suggest to have another agent appointed in his place.

I am getting along with my Post very well.
I am cooperating in general with Judge Porter, whom I not only consider a gentleman of the highest respectability, but also a true Union man.
