Please furnish us with the names of all officers of the Bureau now on duty in the state of Alabama, and all who have been on such duty in the state during the past three months, who are now, or have been, [[crossed out]] perf [[/crossed out]] while performing such duty, engaged or interested in the cultivation of plantations. Also with a statement, if you can, of the interest that each of such officers has in the cultivation of any plantations. 

It has also been reported to us by reliable persons that Mr. W. H. Bull - who has charge of the Colony seven miles from Montgomery - has been engaged in dishonest practices, such as selling government rations to citizens &c. Among the cases mentioned it has been reported that he sold rations to a fisherman living near his colony, or exchanged them for fish.
