The office of Actg. Asst. Qr. Mr. of the Bureau in this district is now filled by 1st Lt. Joseph Logan, V.R.C. The stay of this officer in the service is uncertain, and I do not think he has the requisite energy to fill the position he occupies. I therefore respectfully request that 1st Lt. Saml. R. Henry, 15th Inf., Brvt. Capt. U.S.A., now on duty at Mt. Vernon Adm., Ala., may be ordered to relieve him. There are two officers on duty with the Company with which Capt. Henry is serving ("F" 1st Batt.) and as it has been much reduced in numbers by the casualities of
