General,

Application has been made to the Bureau by Mary Creyon, for government transportation for herself and three children. one being an infant and the other two age 5 & 7 yrs respectively, from Columbia S.C. to Eufala, Ala, in your District. They are destitute freed people and Mrs Creyon states that she will be able to support her family in Alabama as she has older children there to assist her. You will please ascertain and report if the facts are as alleged, and what objections if any exist to the granting of said transportation.

The ink is too smudged to even try and figure out most of the words. I agree with the person above, some words are legible but it is pretty hard to tell. Third person here, I was able to figure out quite a bit of it. I marked the parts too difficult as illegible but won't mark as complete yet in case a couple more people want to come through and have a stab at filling in those parts.
