General: 
In compliance with Part. Special Orders No 54. from these Headquarters, I have the honor to report that I have inspected the Corn and Bacon, in possession of JC Hendrix Act'g Sub Asst Comm'r, and that at the warehouses of Messrs Lehman and Durr for which Captain Whiting is responsible.

In the storehouse occupied by Mr. Hendrix there is about (100) one hundred Sacks corn of N.Y.F.R supplies, and about Eighteen thousand pounds of meat, a part of the meat is unsmoked and should be disposed of - the corn is in fair order. 

At the warehouse of Messrs Lehman Durr & Co there are about thirty six hundred sacks of Corn.
