I send Mrs. Irwin, the poor woman in whose behalf I called on you yesterday morning; trusting that the blankets you so kindly promised, may be ready for her. I would suggest, Colonel, that if you can give her some corn and meat, the donations will be to a truly destitute object. Am I imposing on your liberality in asking so much?
