than it has yet done, destitution will again prevail amongst them and next year as this, they will become a public  expenses. They have made good crops through this section, and if they do not recover enough to live upon another year the fault will lie in the fact of their not having received their rights. Cannot Government aid them now with less expense to herself, than when through injustice they are thrown houseless and homeless upon her hands?
It is through the solicitations of many that I write you this. As one who has stood by them while here, I would see them succeed.
