General
I believe James Richardson (Colored) to be hung on the thirtieth (30) at Dog River to be innocent, at preliminary examination in my private office
More positively that he was not the man. Before they left overheard the remark that they must be revenged on some one, next morning before Mayors Court sworn that he was the man. Believe the other two to be guilty. Request further examination into case of Richardson.
