I immediately went to Butler and asked why he had done so and I asked he would not let that Settlement Stand unless he would get damages and sir his damages were enough to just take what the negros made and further said that he would never get anything only by law. I Sued immediately but failed to get a trial this court now Richard is compelled to wait untill full amount & Then probably he may fail to get a trial. I am Satisfied Sir that Butler object is never to pay for that work. I will respectfully ask if there is any law that will bring Butler to speedy justice as Richard is and his family also in a destitute condition and need all that they have due them and unless they are paid will suffer.
