Hilliardston N.Ca. March 12 1867

Mr. P.D. Kimman
Supt. Mtgy Ala.

Sir,
I have received your letter and am very glad to hear from my child Lucy - I would go immediately after her but have no money to bear my expenses and hers from there home and I am now engaged in preparing to make a crop and if I have I shall loose it as I have no one capable of managing my little farm. I want you to keep her until the fall when I can make arrangements to go after her and I will pay you for keeping her.
Yrs Respectfully
Wesley Griffin
